M06 Foundation (Stichting M06) is a non-profit organisation and does not sell goods or services. All payments received are voluntary donations. Because donations are used immediately to support our humanitarian mission, they are generally non-refundable. However, we recognise that mistakes happen, and we will process refunds in the circumstances set out below.
1. When We Will Refund a Donation
We will refund your donation in the following cases:
- Incorrect amount — you donated more than you intended (e.g. a typo or double-click).
- Duplicate donation — the same donation was processed twice because of a technical issue.
- Unauthorised donation — your payment method was used without your permission.
- Technical error — a failure of our website or the Mollie payment system resulted in a charge that should not have happened.
2. How to Request a Refund
Email info@m06.foundation within 14 calendar days of the donation date, with:
- Your full name and the email address used for the donation.
- The donation amount and approximate date/time.
- The reason for the refund request.
- Any relevant payment reference (if available from your bank or card statement).
We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and, if approved, issue the refund within 14 business days to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, it may take a few additional days for the refund to appear on your statement.
3. Recurring Donations
You can cancel a recurring monthly donation at any time. Cancellations stop future charges but do not automatically refund donations already processed.
To cancel a recurring donation:
- Email info@m06.foundation with the subject "Cancel Recurring Donation" and your full name.
- If you paid by SEPA Direct Debit, you may also cancel the mandate directly with your bank.
- If you paid by card, you may revoke the recurring authorisation with your card issuer.
If a recurring charge was taken after you requested cancellation, we will refund that charge in full.
4. SEPA Direct Debit Reversal Rights
If you paid by SEPA Direct Debit, you have the right under EU rules to instruct your bank to reverse any individual direct debit within 8 weeks of the charge date, no reason required. For unauthorised direct debits the period is 13 months.
5. Non-Refundable Cases
Outside the cases described above, donations are not refundable — in particular:
- Requests made more than 14 days after the donation (except for SEPA Direct Debit reversal rights or unauthorised transactions).
- Change of mind where the donation was correctly and knowingly made.
- Dissatisfaction with how funds are allocated among our charitable activities, as long as they are used in accordance with our stated mission.
6. Chargebacks
If you believe a donation was unauthorised, we encourage you to contact us first so we can resolve the matter quickly. Initiating a chargeback through your bank may take longer and can result in fees to the Foundation, which reduces the funds available for our humanitarian work.
7. Currency
Refunds are issued in Euros (EUR), matching the original transaction currency. Any exchange-rate variation between the original charge and the refund is determined by your bank or card issuer; M06 Foundation is not responsible for currency-conversion differences.
8. Tax Receipts After a Refund
If we have issued a donation receipt for ANBI purposes and the donation is later refunded, the receipt becomes void. You should not claim the refunded amount as a tax-deductible donation.
